Summer retreat 2025 Zen Forest

We are happy to announce that this year’s SUMMER RETREAT will take place on June 15–22 at the Zen Forest retreat center in Čiobiškis. The retreat will be led by Zen Master Joeng Hye (Andrzej Piotrowski).
During the retreat, we will engage in prostrations, chanting, sitting and standing meditation, mindful eating, work practice, walking meditation, and kong-an practice.
There will also be individual interviews with the Teacher, where you can ask questions important to you.

At the end of the retreat (on Sunday, June 22), there will be a Precepts Ceremony.
If you would like to receive the precepts (5 or 10), please mention it during registration.
The precepts ceremony is open to all, including those not attending the retreat.
Note: The advance payment is refundable only if a replacement participant is found.
If your plans change, please inform the organizers as soon as possible.
We recommend attending the entire retreat, but it is also possible to join for the last four days (June 19–22).
Accommodation is in shared rooms (2–4 people).
Participation fees (includes lodging in a room with air conditioning or in the Teacher’s cabin or tents, vegetarian meals three times a day, and private interviews with the Teacher):

Due to limited space, priority for indoor lodging is given to those who register early and for the full week.
If no rooms are left, accommodation is only possible in your own tent or camper (if available).
Registrations after June 5 incur an extra €50 fee for all participants.

Entry times for the retreat:

June 15 (Sunday), 5:00 PM – for full-week participants. We will prepare the site and start practice at 6:30 PM.

June 19 (Thursday) before 6:00 PM – for those joining the last 4 days.
No entry is allowed at any other time.
The retreat ends on Sunday, June 22 in the morning with a group cleanup of the retreat site.
Departure only after full cleanup is completed.
If you have a very strong reason not to follow this rule, please inform the organizers in advance and arrange another way to contribute to the shared effort.
The retreat location is easy to find by entering Zen Miskas into your GPS.
